The Urgent Treatment Centre

The UTC Service:

The Integrated Urgent Treatment Centre (IUTC) is a GP led service supported by Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) for minor illness. It is based at Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow (PAH,) and is delivered in collaboration with local system partners, including Stellar Health Care, Stort Valley Healthcare, EPUT, HCT, HUC, PAH and the ICB.

The vision is to use the iUTC as a mechanism for improving patient flows safely away from the ED into community services

How to book an appointment – the iUTC does not offer a walk in service. So you need to ring 111 in order to be triaged to get an appointment at the iUTC if it is the appropriate service for your needs. Alternatively, if you turn up at ED you maybe triaged to the iUTC, if appropriate.

Location details and running times – the iUTC is located within PAH hospital (opposite Marks and Spencer’s near the main entrance) and is open from 8am – 10pm
